Boston receives:
Alex Reyes (SP/RP-Stl) 0.5 mil AJ Cole (SP/RP Was) 0.5 mil Prospect Austin Meadows (OF-Pitt) Prospect Delvin Perez (SS-Stl) 2017 minor 1st rd pick (Pitt) 2017 rookie 1st rd pick (Pitt)
Pittsburgh Recieves:
Jose Bautista (OF-FA) FA Jean Segura (2B/SS-Sea) Arb-2 Edinson Volquez (SP-Mia) 9 mil 2017 Free Agent 2nd rd pick (Bos) 2017 Free Agent 3rd rd pick (Bos) 2018 Free Agent 3rd rd pick (KC) 2018 Free Agent 3rd rd pick (Bos)
i accept. I am trying to get some prospects and young players with upside. This gives me some good pieces to build with. I hate seeing Joey Batts and segura go, but I have to deal wth cap issues----even still waiting on several to sign. This should get me under the cap and able to keep my remaining Arb eligible and FA.

I accept I'm a big fan of Jose Batista his value I feel has come down so I feel I can keep him under the cap when he signs the picks, segura and Volquez I feel work these players and keep my team under the cap and the picks I can use on players that aren't as expensive and make it work

To be honest, i dont like this trade. I personally dont see alot of value in FA picks and i certainly dont see them as good compensation for 2 good prospects and 2 1st round youth type picks. In my personal opinion the only good piece i see coming to pittsburgh is Segura. I agree that Joey Bats value is way down, but i still think he is going to get a massive PayDay. Im not going to Veto. The only reason being, these are 2 new owners, to a league that has transitioned to a new format. About half of the league is new this year following the announcement of the transition to a salary league. New owners want to move players and put their own stamp on their new team, i get that. But once we get a little further down the line and i feel everyone has a better grasp of their own teams, trades like this wont receive my approval.

Let me also say, i dont feel there is any collusion here. This trade is just very unbalanced in my opinion.

I will approve, as this ultimately looks like a salary dump.
