5 BURNING Questions entering Week 4
These are open to response from anyone. Just a fun little mini article. No one is expected to respond. Amount of response will kinda dictate whether this is done amymore and/or how often its done.
1st Installment of- 5 BURNING QUESTIONS. These are pretty obvious stats/predicaments/situations mainly referring to fantasy teams/rulings, really anything. Just random things i think of.
1. After Atlanta and Los Angeles started BURNING Hot, with either finish atop the National League? If so who?
2. Did Minnesota put their offense at the top of the league by reeling in Trout and now possessing the Combo of Trout/Harper?
3. Will Tampa Bay cake walk to a 4th consecutive World Series? If yes, will they win their 3rd of 4?
4.Is this a fluke start for the Defending Champion St. Louis Cards or is their record entering week 4 for real?
5.Which Fantasy Team is the biggest surprise thus far, Good or Bad?

1. LAD is going to pull out the W in that division.
2. I'm still saying Tampa Bay has a big edge in the offensive talent category. Minnesota has the top end, but not the depth
3. Anything can happen in a 1 week playoff, but I still like his odds.
4.His pitching should carry him to the playoffs, but the hitters look a little suspect right now. Also, no money to improve his team right now.
5.I'm going to have to go NYY. I thought his hitting would carry him a long way this year. It probably comes back around this week with a cake walk over those terrible Blue Jays.
With all that said, it's not even May yet so I'm not panicking! I'm going to find some way to sneak into the playoffs this year.

It would be unfair for me to expect everyone to respond to this and not respond myself.
1. After Atlanta and Los Angeles started BURNING Hot, with either finish atop the National League? If so who? Yes. Los Angeles. I believe LA has the best team in the NL and while i think Atlantas squad is for real, i think we see them fall to 3 by seasons end and POSSIBLY out of the playoffs.
2. Did Minnesota put their offense at the top of the league by reeling in Trout and now possessing the Combo of Trout/Harper? No. Trout/Harper are arguably the best 1-2 punch offensively, but i still struggle to put Minnesotas offense above Tampa Bays.
3. Will Tampa Bay cake walk to a 4th consecutive World Series? If yes, will they win their 3rd of 4? No. Cake walk is the term that i say no to. Detroit will win the AL and will have a 1st round bye, but whoever they face in the AL championship game wont be an easy out.
4. Is this a fluke start for the Defending Champion St. Louis Cards or is their record entering week 4 for real? The start is FOR REAL. As i personally told Nick recently, i think this is the beginning of his fall off. With no prospects and very few picks, also no money, IF hes hit hard with injuries, they will end him and bad performances will only decrease his team value leaving him with no trade potential to get better.
5.Which Fantasy Team is the biggest surprise thus far, Good or Bad? I would have to go New York. If Atlanta had won this past week, they would be my choice. Im just shocked after improving the team (IMO) in the offseason, New York sits dead last in the AL. Id guess slow start and we see them turn it around soon, but i am personally surprised to see New York 6th after 3 weeks. Sidenote--- Arizona would be my 2nd choice after new york. Im almost as shocked by the slow start here.

1. After Atlanta and Los Angeles started BURNING hot, with either finish atop the National League? If so who? -Hard to pick against the Dodgers at this point! It is early yet, and I feel the Dodgers are still an elite pitcher shy of true division domination. With the right moves, any team in the NL could present a challenge. 2. Did Minnesota put their offense at the top of the league by reeling in Trout and now possessing the combo of Trout/Harper? -Yes. This offense stands to dominate every batting category against most anybody in any given week. Their pitching took a major hit in that trade, however. Will the philosophical shift from pitching dominance to batting badassery pay off? 3. Will Tampa Bay cake walk to a 4th consecutive World Series? If yes, will they win their 3rd of 4? -The pitching on this team insane. The Ray bats, while solid, appear to be mere mortals. Without an elite closer and a weekly concession of a few batting cats, there will be no cakewalk to the title at this point. 4.Is this a fluke start for the Defending Champion St. Louis Cards or is their record entering week 4 for real? -It is for real. This team did what it took to win the title, but it did not come without sacrifice. A rebuild appears to be in session. 5.Which Fantasy Team is the biggest surprise thus far, Good or Bad? -Atlanta's hot start caught me off guard. I could tell pieces were coming together for success in another year or two, but already? This is certainly a team to watch! -P.S. These Yanks just enjoy the challenge of spotting you guys a yearly head-start
