Toronto Blue Jays gets:
Jonathan Villar (MIL-SS,2B,3B) $.5 mill Michael Brantley (CLE-LF,CF) $7.5 mill Byron Buxton (MIN-CF) $.5 mill Joe Ross (WSH-SP) $.5 mill
New York Yankees gets:
Trea Turner (WSH-2B,CF) $.5 mil Elvis Andrus (TEX-SS) $15 mil
I accept.Getting some good young upside pieces in this deal. Some risk with Brantley's injury but a bounce back gives me a really solid OF.Ross gives me another good young upside arm.Villar Im banking on last season being his break out and not a fluke.Feel at 25 he is more then capable of at least being close to that player from here on out, which isnt shabby at all.A deal like this gives me added depth and saves some cap by shedding Andrus's contract.

NYY needs to give better reasoning behind this move before any member of the TRC can give a legitimate vote.

I'm going to have to veto sorry guys. I feel this trade is very lopsided im looking out for the league as a whole. While i feel turner is a prize i cannot in good fashion let nyy give that much up. In know way do i blame Toronto but i need to see a better return for yankees picks, prospects, or different players. Im sorry if owners get pissed but im looking out for the integrity of the league and the owners please rework the deal to make it more even or i veto

Unfortunately, i have to VETO as well.
Ill start with, providing the TRC with players full Legal names does not Legitimize a trade. With that said, to say Michael Brantley keeps getting injured over and over, i dont know where that would come from. He has played in over 800 games in 8 seasons. Including 137 games in 4 seasons, over 110 in 1 of the other 4, and only 27 his rookie season, meaning, its more like 800 in 7 seasons. Thats over 2/3rds of each season on avg.
To say Andrus is a better fantasy player than Villar, that is a bold opinion. In this league, without digging deep into stats, in 2016, that is also an incorrect opinion. Villar avg 2.9 while andrus avg 2.8, and Villar outscored Andrus 449- 414.5.
As far as buxton goes, not liking him is fine but you're basically throwing in a guy that still does have top Prospect potential.
And after all that, to be giving up your favorite pitcher on your roster, makes it all the more baffling.
Regardless, this is how i feel. In the end, if you do as Nick with the cardinals said, and add some picks from torontos side, it could make it through, but this is not a good trade for the obvious. Oh and trea turner, huge fan, still doesnt make this anywhere near even.

I support the veto of this trade. I agree that Turner has great potential, but we have a very small sample of what he can do in the mlb to garner this kind of return. Especially, since nyy put Andrus on his trade block before the trade is even processed. This tells me he was just a throw in, and did not have any real value to the receiving team.
