So im gonna immediately start looking for a new member. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to contact me.
Sorry again, i wish i had a better explanation.

Which is the next order of business.
How we go about his load of trades. Because he did make 5 or 6... Which i do personally believe he was Trying to improve the team.. Should they all be reversed, left alone, or left up to the new manager.
This is on me. As i knew better than to add someone with little experience. But i never could have foreseen this happening... As i still dont know what happened.

I know this isnt gonna be popular but i think they need to be reversed He traded away alot of good talent and his reason sometimes was he hated the cubs and thats just not good enough This is why the committee should stand and new members have a 7 day wait period before trading this rule imo has to be set immediately!

It completely destroys the integrity of this league to roll back league approved trades. Each trade was fair, and made by the KC manager in an effective effort to rebuild. Any future manager should make similar trades. A TRC would have approved them anyway, and TRC just bogs down the trade review process. A future 7-day wait period doesn't make sense either. A new manager should be free to hit the ground running. We just have to screen them better in the future.

I actually agree and was going to say something to the same tune. It made alot of sense for a rebuild to begin for that team. And i think the rest is true too. The trc would have approved all of them.
We used to screen new members pretty hardcore (nick knows). Bbut i didnt feel cody needed that. While he didnt have much experience in this exact format, he had knowledge to baseball. I dont foresee a situation like this happening again (considering how bizarre it was). Ive gotten some interest in the team already. Just trying to find the right person.

I dont agree and im standing by a 7 day wait to trade! I would not have approved 1 of those trades and a new owner might feel differently! We need to hardcore screen again or im not sure i can stay in the league anymore. Ive poured 2+ years in here and i feel the integrity is being hurt by not having a committee, or a harsh screening again!!!! I enjoy the trade approvals or declines and the individual owner comments on them! I feel not having a committee bogs us down. I was against it from the start and now i feel justified in my original feelings towards no committee

Not your fault twins. Sometimes you just get unlucky. Have we ever considered having a buy in for the league? That’d keep people more invested even if it’s just invested to rebuilding so that you can compete in the future

To be honest, the 3 or 4 trades that have ever been vetoed shouldnt have been. The only trades that should ever have been vetoed were by that Toronto manager a few years back. The one that built a nice team, then blew it up... Then rebuilt again... Before blowing it up and quitting, all in 1 offseason. I was glad to ove away from the committee because now theres alot less likely of a situation where a trade gets vetoed. Im a firm believer that trades shouldnt be vetoed in dynasty. As long as an owner can provide a logical reasoning for a deal, idk why it should need to be vetoed. Value on a player is what you make it. I cant decide what the value on your guys are. Slade can't decide the value on my guys. And we cant tell Ken what the value of his players are. When we start declining trades, we start coming up with situations where, in 3 years its the LMs fault that player A blossomed into a SUPERSTAR and players b c and d are in the minors struggling and if the TRC hadnt vetoed a trade that is now super fair... There wouldnt be anything said. I know thats a very vague example. But i think the way we have it now is fine. Granted, i was involved in a trade with cody before he was kicked, even if i wasn't, i know i would feel the same way. I dont think the trades should be reversed, as i dont think the team is in worse shape than it was when he joined. If anything he pushed the team in the direction of a rebuild. But KC has the most prospects of any team, and imo he has some great ones to build on.
Harsher screener is for sure. But i dont think there should be another TRC vote as there was just one in the previous offseason. My suggestion at this point for screening, we have the new member do one of a few things... A. Give the league a short explanation of their plans with the team B. Explain their thoughts in depth, of the strengths and weaknesses of their team. C. Present them with a few trades and see how they evaluate talent. Even if its not something everyone agrees on. Make sure they arent simple minded.
Those are just thoughts.

That’d keep people more invested even if it’s just invested to rebuilding so that you can compete in the future I absolutely have. But i feel some teams are just far better built than others and id hate for a buy in to make owners leave. If thats something a majority wanted... Like 8-10 of the 12, i wouldnt be opposed.

Im fine with keeping the trades and im fine with no trc but i def want harsher screening we have a little league and we all kind of know each others patterns!! I was sick when beau left bc i watched him build that squad, and im cool with a new owner doing his thing but to see them just quit sucks! I know its not taylors fault and no one can predict what anyone does but maybe a buy in of a small amount is a good idea to keep people invested!

Proposal...
What if we did 10-20 bucks. Winner wins half, ship loser receives money back, and the remainder hours towards fantasy trophy or belt.
Or
Simply, all the money goes towards a belt or trophy for the winner.

Holy Hell im cool with a buy in league but I don’t think it should starts till next year I think this league is great I enjoy it very much I have three other money leagues I’m in and they are are great but I keep up with this one probably more just because it is very difficult and it’s such a different strategy u r looking at contracts and the value of a guys future this league is very difficult which is why I like it so much because it such a challenge. I’ve been in this league couple of years now and I still am learning things about the league. I think the owners we have now are very good owners

I am fine with having a buy in as long as we all agree on how the money is utilized. I have actually had the discussion with Atlanta before, about how that keeps people engaged. I don’t do this for the opportunity to win a little bit of money, but if that’s what it takes to solidify the integrity of the league I am all in. I wouldn’t be opposed to the trophy option personally, but I am open to whatever the league wants to do.

I personally dont care to win money either. I like the option of a trophy or belt. If we made it a 20 dollar buy in, that would equate to 240, and i also think it would be easier to buy a new one every year. Rather than 1 and it get mailed around the country. Which is what it felt like Nick was implying. Maybe i misunderstood. 200 could get us a nice new belt/trophy every year. Hell the winner could choose.... We could also still do 20 a piece and do 200 for the winners trophy/belt and 40 for the ship loser to get a LOSERS trophy or belt haha

I'd personally prefer at least some of the money be given out to the champ. We can take some and get a trophy too if that's what everyone wants. I'm fine with either of those options, but I'd prefer not to just throw it all into a trophy.

Im discussing the league with 2 guys right now. 1 of them seems very fit for the league but hes already admitted that the league is the most in depth hes ever seen haha. But im waiting for him to get back to me. The other guy has been asking alot of questions. If either or both says they want in, i will give them a public thread to address the league and we can go from there.
Nothing concrete yet.
