Alright... At this moment I have 3 potential players that want to do expansion. So now im going to lay down my idea on how we make this a reality.
FAB keeps/ Franchise Tags/ Players over limit- those all still get done on the time line. These will be effected by the amount of players we are allowed to keep. Im undecided, but it will be somewhere between 17-21. Of course, most of us have plenty of FAB players we will be able to let go to get under this number. If anyone has to release players to do the same, they will be free drops. Just want to be clear there.
Minors draft Expansion teams get the 1st picks in every round, they are selected randomly amongst expansion teams. They will also receive 3 Rounds of picks following the initial 3 rounds.
Free Agent Draft- Expansion teams will get 3 rounds prior to Round 1. Beginning in Round 1, Expansion teams will receive top picks in each round (1-3) and they will also have an extra 5 rounds following the 3 round FA draft that includes everyone. This would put them at 11 players each if they draft every round.
-- all extra picks are non tradable.
The 1st year player draft is a little different. Since we have the consolation playoff to decide 1st pick, that is going to stick. Winner of consolation playoff gets pick 1. But this years draft will see the expansion teams pick following the consolation winner in round 1 and then at the top of each round following. The expansion teams will be given 3 extra rounds of picks in this draft as well.
Ive decided each teams prospect roster is untouchable. Of everything we have, thats the one thing we all worked very hard to build.
Some may not like this, i personally thinks its awesome ive found members that are so dedicated to the idea. Its a one year thing. And i think it will help the health of the league in the long run. Please feel free to leave questions comments concerns or suggestions.

I'm good with it, but I think their teams are going to absolutely suck. I'd give very low odds of more than 1 team sticking out a rebuild that sees their teams start with 0 Top 200 players and 0 Prospects.
I'd vote for the first picks in every round to help them out.

I agree on 1sts. But they will have plenty of opportunities to draft decent FA players as well as more money than most of us for FA.
They all have been warned of what they are up against. The guys ive been recruiting want a serious rebuild challenge.
I also will not add them for this if there seems to be any doubt at all.
Thanks for your input bro!

I understand there I took over a terrible team in December of 2016 and I’ve worked really hard to get the team where it is now. I made the playoffs this year and pretty unexpectedly by basically everyone. I’m good with them getting 1st picks in all the drafts. They r going to need it I think to get as competitive as a team as they can, but if they work hard they can get to the playoffs even as quick as the 2nd year.

I agree. And thats what ive told them. Expecting playoffs year 1 is unrealistic but if they make some moves and look to year 2 or even 3, they control what happens.

Here is an idea to help the expansion teams. I see that every team can keep 25 players on their roster. How about they keep 18 players and then once one of their players is picked in the expansion draft they can protect another 4 guys? This will give some more players available to the expansion teams so they are not extremely crappy. Expansion teams will still have a rough go of it, and Im up for the challenge, however adding a few more players to the expansion draft will increase the likelihood the new teams stick it out for the long haul. Just a thought. I worry the new teams will realize how crappy their teams are after the draft and give up then you are back to square 1.

Quite frankly this isn't enough. Teams will have to make prospects available for this to work.
I just dont know how its gonna work yet.

Agreed. I’ve been for an idea similar to E since the beginning. Protect fewer overall and then let each team protect more as their team has people picked. Helps ensure the expansion teams are better and makes sure 1 team doesn’t just get cleaned out in the expansion draft.
I’m also with e that no matter how determined you are, they will quit once they see how far behind their teams are. The initia plan meant 200 players got protected. If that’s the case, their best player would be ranked similarly to Brandon belt...

I am all for expansion , however , I am adamantly opposed to having to surrender minor league specs , not only did I trade away future picks to build my milb roster I have traded away mlb players to acquire specs , having to give up any would completely undermine any work I have done over the last two seasons , I would only like to say now so there is no short sightedness later for the league , i am open to expansion that doesn’t include having to deplete my current milb roster .... I would rather forgo a entire rookie draft to keep what I have ..... this is not meant as a threat by no means but an early heads up , if any expansion includes losing current specs please work on finding a replacement owner for me , as I am not interested in losing what I have built only to start building again , I am sorry if this an unpopular idea , but that is how I feel

Glad to hear that. One of the things I was concerned about was that I gave up lots of value to get high free agent and minors picks, that I wouldn't have made if I'd known there would be 3 rounds of expansion picks ahead of mine.
