It was a weird offseason to say the least. I'm happy with the newbies that have joined and the vets as well. This is the 2nd installment of this mini segment. The first one was fun because I was able to publicly mock Nick, whether anyone realized it or not. This one doesn't have the underlying reasons behind it. Just some thoughts to put out there. Feel free to respond or just let these questions BURN into your minds as the weeks pass. For the last time, at least this season, Good Luck to everyone!
(This thread isn't made to hurt feelings or force owners to talk shit on each other. If anyone gets their feelings hurt, get over it. This is just something to spark interest and discussion)
1. With the National League looking like a 2 horse race (based on our league wide preseason ranks), who has the best chance of claiming the 3rd spot?
2. We added 2 new owners this past offseason. Which finishes with a better record?
3. Last season, the American League appeared to be dominant in comparison to the National League. Did the National League do enough to close the gap or is it still the American League's show?
4. As the favorite, again, Tampa looks poised to make another World Series run. Will this finally be the year, someone takes Tampa Bay down?
5. Which team appears to have made the most improvement this offseason and which team seems to be spinning their wheels?

1. I think Arizona has a shot to make some noise in that division 2. I would've said Padres, but he appears to be tearing down his team for a rebuild. I'll still go with Padres. 3. The AL is clearly the dominant league in my opinion. It's like the western conference in the NBA. 4. I think previous Cards owner Nick would say HOW QUICKLY DO YOU FORGET MY DOMINANCE IN 2017? I'VE NEVER LOST IN THE PLAYOFFS! 5. I really think Diamondbacks improved significantly this year. I love his young core of hitters and think he has a real chance to make some noise is Robbie Ray has a good year.

I will answer the questions as well to maintain transparency.
1. Atlanta. He made some smart moves on offense and some bold moves on the pitching side and I think they line up and end up back in the playoffs.
2. Seems like a bit of a toss up, but I think Detroit is better than advertised. The Salvy injury definitely hurts him, but getting Zunino could be a solid replacement.
3. The AL is a powerhouse and I think the NL is still a ways off as a whole.
4. I felt like a few teams could challenge TB last season and he still overcame it all. I feel like hes more vulnerable this year, but it's still hard to imagine it happening.
5. I think alot of teams made notable moves to "improve" but I think the big winner this offseason was New York. Stanton/Snell trade may have been the biggest offseason trade imo and it brought some much needed balance to New Yorks roster.

1. Gotta go Arizona, His offense is in place with Arenado, Soto, Benintendi, Bellinger and bounce back year with Seagar. His team has some studs. Adding a couple SP will make the team legit across the board. He has all the assets to make a big time trade happen for SP.
2. I believe its a toss up, wanna see who makes more moves going forward to make that playoff push.
3. American league, Tampa, Minny, NY are stacked with a ton of players ranked in the top 50.
4. After Minnesota went out and got Scherzer and Corbin, his pitching staff is gonna be dangerous week to week. Adding Gary Sanchez as well, who I believe will bounce back this year helps a ton in the catcher spot. Having Trout, Harper and Blackmon as your OF, That is some serious Balance with the offensive categories.
5. Gotta go Tampa here. Think about it, He got younger with Buehler, Flaherty and Hoskins. Not to mention His roster will get call ups From Vlad, Eloy and Whitley thats insane.

1. I say Atlanta I got Cruz,Gordon, Renfroe(with protection in the lineup now and he’s inexpensive), Hamilton for steals as well as having Haniger and Matt Carpenter still on my team. Pitching wise it’s better than it looks on paper. 2. I say San Diego. Even though both r in rebuild mode I think San Diego is in an easier division. 3. Quite simply NO. Easiest question on here I think. 4. I still think Tampa is the front runner to win the Series but Minnesota and I’ll give ya one no one has mentioned Boston to make it intriguing. Minnesota is very impressive and I just have a feeling Boston has a good year. 5. I think that is Minnesota the moves he’s made have really made him a contender in the AL to maybe win it and I think San Diego has made moves that don’t make much sense to me. I know he’s trying to put his own stamp on his team but some of them I don’t understand.

1. I may be a lil biased here but I am going with me (AZ) , I feel last year injuries really derailed me early on , with a fully healthy team and a couple big specs coming up this year I really feel I can make a good run
2. Hard to say really , but I give Detroit a slight edge , health and trades to shore things up will decide
3. Clearly still the AL who owns the league , I do like the efforts made by the NL tho
4. Unless injuries derail Tampa , likely another ring to the rays
5. I like a lot what the twins have done , and myself adding key pieces to really help in areas needed , and I would say I don’t know that anyone is really spinning wheels , but the padres need to button down the hatches as it’s past the point of trying to figure this year out , and start the rebuild or make a push with the pieces in place

1. I really like the Rockies as long as he stays actives and makes some moves throughout the year. I like his power production and some decent pitching. He could def use some depth there though.
2. I think Pads will finish a little better more so based on the division. It could be a coin flip but I like Pads chances a little better in the NL.
3. The National League def improved this offseason, but I still don't think its enough to close the gap for this season.
4.This could def be the first win I don't win the Division. It will no doubt be the hardest season for me to do so.
5.The twins scares me for sure. He took in some hefty contracts to give him much better shot in the short term which Im all about. Also like some moves the Yankees have made. Both teams have improved from last year and both teams have a very decent shot of taking me out.
Still many more questions will be answered this season! Lets have another great year boys!
