Toronto Blue Jays gets:
Carlos Gonzalez (RF-COL) $20 mil
Detroit Tigers gets:
Drew Pomeranz (SP-BOS) ARB2 Joc Pederson (CF-LAD) $.5 mil Prospect: Pedro Severino (C-WAS) Prospect: Cole Ragans (P-TEX) Prospect: Alex Speas (P-TEX)
I accept.I know Im giving up a lot for Cargo but I see it this way. With the addition of Cargo my team is complete heading into free agency. All I need is some bench depth and RP.I'll have a decent amount of cap left to make the signings I need and be ready to rock. And the look of a Braun,Cutch,Cargo outfield just excites me!

I accept. I really didn't wanna give up cargo but I needed to free up some cash. Hoping that pederson can soon live up to his potential and adding another starter doesn't hurt either. Not the best prospects but at least it adds depth to my farm. Getting trumbo helped ease the pain of trading cargo.

thats true unless he already has a player he wants to tag. was just wondering. and nobodys knows a player is going to sign a contract until it happens. i wouldnt bet on that personally.

If he doesnt sign a contract til after the regular season it wont matter, hes still a Free Agent unless franchised.
The only way he would retain him otherwise is if he signs a deal midseason.

Ill be honest, i dont like this trade at all. The fact that cargo goes free after this year, despite the potential franchise, just kills it for me. The prospects are decent, #4 and #8 overall for texas and #9 for washington, also the #1 catcher for washington.
Joc simply needs to gain a bit of patience and he will be a slugger avg 3 or higher.
Pomz going to boston could be exactly what he needs to become a good top of the rotation guy, despite there being 2 aces above him. If he can stay healthy, that only makes this a greater win for detroit.
Despite all this, im going to approve. If going all in is what Toronto wants to do, so be it. I dont suspect any collusion and i feel like no matter the outcome, Toronto isnt going to ditch the league if things go south for him, and next offseason (the future lmao) Toronto finds himself struggling to build a time like the one he has due to lack of assets.
I truly dont want the TRC to run peoples teams or dictate the way owners run their own teams. But this trade might be a future example as to why some trades do or DONT get vetoed.
Sorry for the lengthy response.

All good man. I can assure u man there is no collusion. I have zero reason to collude. He wanted cargo and I needed to cut salary.

I agree completely with what Minnesota said. I have been in those leagues that folded because people sold off their assests and just quit when the times got tough, nstead of putting the work in to rebuild. The selling point for me is Toronto has said all along he is playing for the here and now. Approve
