A few little bullet points to remember.
If you are not in the playoffs and you are in the consolation bracket, you can not make any add drops for any reason.
Teams in the 2019 Playoffs, Its not stated in the rules EXACTLY, but it does state you can only add players due to injury. So the roster you take in is the roster you use, unless an injury occurs and you need to fill a spot. If a team enters playoffs with 5 open roster spots, they will not be able to fill those spots instantly under playoff rules.. so I suggest all playoff teams fill those rosters and make the changes necessary prior.
EDIT:: I'm simply referring to add/drops. Adjusting your roster according to who is playing Day to Day is allowed.

Just a reminder to everyone, add/drops are only allowed in playoffs if a rostered player hits IL. In which case, they can IL that player and add a new player. I posted this thread before the 1st week of playoffs started.. the roster brought into playoffs is the roster used unless an IL situation occurs.

Can I get a clarification on Michael Pineda? He got suspended for 60 games starting today. If we are trying to be like a real life mlb team, they’d be able to replace him on their roster

If we are trying to be like a real life mlb team, they’d be able to replace him on their roster I dont believe this is covered in the rules anywhere. So at this point we'd have to treat it like we did in season with guys like Montas and let it ride. It can be discussed in the offseason if the league has a route they wanna go with unique situations like this. But it is essentially different than an injury so we cant allow him to be designated or anything of the sort considering the lack of a ruling.

I’m just asking if I can drop him. I’m assuming the issue with only being able to drop someone if there is an injury is to make it resemble a real mlb team. A real mlb team could drop him from their active roster and replace him

No, it's not injury related. I can agree that we want to be as close to real life as possible, but making rules and adjusting others in playoffs, I cant agree with.

I think that’s a crap ruling, but it’s your league so you get to make the call.
