Tampa Bay Gets: Carlos Carrasco (NYM-SP) $12 Mil 2022 Free Agent 1st Round (ATL) $17 Mil cash this season
Atlanta Gets: 2022 Minors 2nd Round (DET) 2022 Rookie 4th Round (ATL) 2022 Free Agent 1st Round (TB) Franmil Reyes (CLE-DH) $.5 Mil
I accept. This is a lot of moving parts. I really wanted a good free agent pick next year. Also hoping to get something out of carrasco. When franmil returns I can’t play him, vlad and Olson all together.

I accept
I’m trying to get controllable players and Reyes does that getting into the rookie draft with a 3rd 2nd Round pick is nice and helpful for a rebuild. My team needs a lot of pieces to get better with and this is atleast a help on that.

Hey Patrick, just wanna make sure you realize that's the (projected) First overall pick in the fucking draft that you're literally giving away.
I'm going to assume you didn't realize that. Hence my complete disbelief as to why you would be making this trade.

Alright guys. This doesn't happen often and it hasn't happened in a long time, but i just can't get behind this one. This trade is horrible for the worst statistical team right now. The Free Agent pick, as stated previously, that Patrick is sending is likely going to be the #1 pick and that pick is being traded as if it has no value. I dont believe in vetoes UNLESS there's collusion (which I don't believe is the case) or the trade is team/league breaking and this does NOTHING for Atlanta. All this does is set him back further. The FAs that will be available in the upcoming FA draft should be worth a much greater return than we're seeing here. This either needs to be reworked to a serious degree or AT WORST, it can be sent to a league vote if you guys insist. The league can feel free to chime in on this one.

I personally say let the league vote on it except for me and Brad that way everybody has a say in it.

First off let me say that zero collusion has taken place here and ultimately that is what should veto trades. Me and Patrick talked about it and neither of us think it should be vetoed. But I suppose it isn’t up to me.

It seems like it all comes down to the free agent pick, but I personally don’t value it that highly. Most of the 1st round from last year have been bad so far this year including the first 3 picks. I would take Franmil at his contract over any of those free agent picks.
The 4th rookie and the 2nd free agent are lottery tickets in my mind, but the 2nd round minors should have some really good values this year.
I’m open to a vote, but I don’t see it as a trade that’s clearly worthy of a veto

I would say the 2 teams agreed upon a trade they both liked in their eyes. Both very active teams. And definitely no collusion involved. Let the trade ride.
I would also suggest in the future. A asset like the number 1 FA pick up for grabs. Should be thrown up in the trading block, to see what trades may compete against each other... but that is for the owner to decide... Some huge Free agent names next year and also some really good international players being thrown around.
