Boston Receives: Josh Naylor (CLE-1B): $0.6 Million Chris Paddack (MIN-SP): $0.6 Million Lars Nootbaar (STL-OF): $0.6 Million Prospect: Elly De La Cruz (CIN-SS/3B)
Milwaukee Receives: Logan Gilbert (SEA-SP): $0.6 Million Marcus Semien (TEX-2B): $26 Million Prospect: Noah Schultz (CWS-SP) Prospect: Jordan Westburg (BAL-2B/3B) 2024 Rookie 2nd Round (BOS) 2025 Minors 1st Round (BOS)
I accept. This is a massive trade with risk on each side. Gilbert gives me an arm to fill in for Woodruff on the IL. Semien pairs up nicely with Gelof to shore up 2B for me on a run this year. Westburg should fill in as a back up infielder for me. Schultz has a ton of potential, but comes with injury risk. Losing Elly really hurts bad, but I am going for it this year again and sometimes parts have to be moved to fill spots on the roster. Naylor, Paddack and Nootbaar although not stars currently, have all had solid runs where they have put it together. I wish David the best in signing Ohtani and adding all of these young affordable guys to the mix. Nice doing business.

I accept. Its a massive haul of players. Risks on both sides as bobby says. I really needed to clear salary with semien and needed some cheap younger players to fill out the roster. Elly is a big bat for me. He could be an absolute stud or end up being a strike out machine. Bobby gets a solid arm and some young players for the future. Good dealings bobby. I wish you the best on your championship push.
