1. Categories changes. Combining Saves/Holds and move toward 6x6.
-Holds should not be held at equal value/magnitude to the other scoring categories. Combining with Saves maintains it some relevancy, but not equal footing to the rest. Good closers get more Saves than good setup men get Holds, so this move does not devalue the elite closers.
2. Preseason FAB and whether to change the rules and arbitrarily add an additional 24-hour Final Bidding window after the initial 24 hours.
-From what I can tell, the original intent of the preseason/final bidding process was to reasonably expedite FAB in advance of the season. Arbitrarily adding an additional 24-hour Final Bidding window was done by mistake and misinterpretation in the past, and it is counterproductive to this goal. The only "pro" I can see with adding the additional window is allowing for increased strategic up-bidding to tighten opposing teams' budgets for the coming season. The rules as currently written, with Final Bidding acting as a way to narrow the field at 24-hour mark and bids just needing to go 24-hours unopposed is more in line with how in-season bidding is done. Far less confusing too!
