St Louis Gets:
Gerrit Cole (Pit-SP) $3.75 Million Aledmys Diaz (Stl-SS) $2 Million 2018 Rookie 4TH Round (NYY)
NY Yankees Gets:
Jean Segura (Sea-SS) $6.20 Million
I accept Hate losing Segura he's been dependable, but I have plenty of short stops and getting Diaz helps ease the pain. I am a huge Cole fan and I feel I needed to counter detroits trade as well

I accept. With our league likely moving to category scoring next season, my team needs a boost in batting average and stolen bases. Segura helps me toward that goal. In the short term, he provides a nice points upgrade at SS for these Yankees.
Losing Gerrit Cole is tough. He was arguably my ace, and he will be a strong pitcher for many years to come. I'm going to bank on my remaining band of underrated misfits led by the Mighty Battle Beaver, Trevor Cahill (look up a pic of that mug!) to continue to tow the line for a Yankees resurgence this season. Just gotta get the sand outta their vaginas and off the 10-day DL!
Aledmys Diaz has shown serious potential, but just moderate results this season. He and 2018 4th pick equalize the trade for both parties.

I dont like to veto. I dont even want to... But this isnt a fair move imo. I feel like segura for aledmys and the 4th would be decent. If you guys feel segura averaging 3.3 and diaz averaging 2.3, deserves compensation on the diaz side, i get it. But adding Cole is overkill IMO. Diaz had a phenomonal year last year and has taken a step back, seguras having a great year this year and who's to say that doesnt happen to him as well. I think diaz is being severely undervalued and i simply cant pass this one.
I have to Veto.
Sorry guys.
Im not trying to tell you what to do or how to make this happen, but my suggestion is to sub out cole for a lesser pitcher ot prospect or a pick.

I never like to veto a trade unless collusion can be proven , and as lopsided as this trade is I don't believe there is collusion here , but I gotta say , when St Louis chastised me for asking too much for lucroy and then to turn around and think he didn't ask too much here is a lil baffling, no way segura is worth this deal with Cole involved
Having said that , I feel beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if the Yankees are happy getting the short end of the stick here who am I to say no

Veto. I dont want to run anyones team by any means. And i understand new york wants the deal. This is just too much for me. Gerrit cole for segura straight up or take the pick off and STL adds a pick or 2 and i can see this deal going thru. The deal isnt far off but this is a little lopsided in my oppinion. Think it could be balanced out a little more.
